Imran's #Oresome Adventures Around the World - Australian Open 2016

[25 Jan 2016] Today me and my family went to the Australian Open in Melbourne. The Australian Open is one of the four Grand Slam tennis tournaments in the world. The others are: US Open, Wimbeldon, and the French Open. The Australian Open first started in 1905 and is the first grand slam event every year where all the top ranked players compete for the men's singles and doubles, women's singles and doubles, and mixed doubles championships.

We booked the tickets one day prior to the actual day so we wouldn't have to wait in a long line. The next day we woke up early and got prepared for an #Oresome adventure ahead. We took a tram πŸšƒ to the city then took the free tennis shuttle to the Hisense Arena and got into the Melbourne Park. We were pretty confused because it was our first time in the Park so first we had a look around then we asked a staff member and headed for show court 2. There were two women playing on either side of the net. It was a double's match. Their names were King and Kudryavtseva on the front half vs Pavlyuchenkova and Vesnina on the back half.

It was a pretty cool match but not as much as the legend's match with Chang and Arthurs  versus  Ferreira and Wilander. It wasn't much of a tennis match it was more of a comedy show! One of the players went 3 on 1 at one point in the match. It was an astounding match! Then we went and ate some sushi πŸ™and nachos. They were yummy. After that we walked around and saw some small tennis courts for family fun so we played some tennis. Then we went to David Ferrer (world number 8) and John Isner's (world number 10) match. We couldn't watch the whole thing because it was getting too dark so we went home and rested for the adventures ahead.

Imran's #Oresome Adventures Around the World - Melbourne Zoo

Photo: At the bear enclosure, Melbourne Zoo

[2 Feb 2016] Today me and my family went to the Melbourne ZOO 🐾 It is the oldest zoo in Australia and is based on the London zoo. It was opened in 1862 and contains more than 320 animal species.

In the morning we woke up, ate our breakfast then watched some TV then we got ready and took a tram to the city. Then we took tram No. 55 from Flinder's station directly to the zoo. When we arrived at the zoo we started to look at the wonderful animals.

Then after a while we came to the big cats. We were having trouble spotting the snow leopard until we looked at the second snow leopard enclosure. Finally my brother spotted a snow leopard which was completely camouflaged among a few rocks. Then we went to look at the bears. It was a small brown bear eating a carrot. I didn't know bears ate carrots! Then it was nearly time for the enclosures to close so we quickly looked at the Lemurs, Lions, Meerkats, Elephants, Orangutans and the Platypus. It was #OREsome!

Imran's #Oresome Adventures Around the World - T20@MCG

Photo: With my dad at the MCG

[26 Jan 2016] Today was a very big day for me & my family. We would be going to the Melbourne Cricket Ground, also known as MCG, for the second India VS Australia T20 cricket match. The MCG is the largest cricket stadium in the whole world! T20 stands for Twenty-twenty which means each team gets twenty overs to play. It is the shortest version of a cricket and usually lasts about 3 to 4 hours.
At first, it looked like it was going to rain but then it didn't turn out how we had anticipated. The weather was back to normal. It was a very fun match. India batted first and scored 184/3 in response Australia made 157/8 in their 20 overs and lost by 27 runs. Both of the teams were very good and had played really well but at the end India won!
In the last over an Indian bowler called Bumrah took one wicket and finished the game with another one on the last ball.  It was a really fun experience but the bad thing was that there were two ladies who were shouting loudly right behind me the whole time! It was really annoying :0 Over all the match was very exciting and also #OREsome.
